Years 9-10

The EGGS Year 9 curriculum gives every student a foundation year on which to build future learning. It is designed to prepare students for whatever direction or directions their lives and interests may go. It caters to all areas of learning and meets the New Zealand Curriculum standards.
Year 9 students study

English
One language (Chinese, French, Japanese, Spanish, Te Reo Māori)
Mathematics
Physical Education and Health
Science
Social Studies
Art (Drama, Music, Visual Art)

Please note: Some students may be placed in a course for English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).

In addition students choose two half year technology courses chosen from:
Design Technology
Design and Visual Communication
Digital Technology
Food Technology
Textiles Technology

Year 10 students study

English
Mathematics
Physical Education and Health
Science
Social Studies

Full and Half Year Options
Either 2 half year options and 2 full year options OR 3 full year options.
They must select a minimum of one Art and one Technology but cannot take the same Art or Technology as both a half and full year.
