Three EGGS students arrived in Wellington on 15 July, ready to participate in the triennial Youth Parliament. Kelly Ding (Year 13, representing MP Raymond Huo), Lara Albert (Year 12, representing MP Paul Goldsmith) and Puspa Barua (Year 13, representing MP Shane Jones). The exciting event included meeting PM Jacinda Adern, the Governor General and other MPs. Old Girl Fiona Wu was also there, as a Youth Press Gallery member.
The Youth Parliament 2019 programme provides an opportunity for young people from around New Zealand to actively work and be heard on topics and issues they are passionate about.
