Year 13 student Rebecca Hume competed in the 420 Class National Championships at Takapuna Yacht Club for four days in March. The regatta was also the second leg of the Youth Selection Trials for the 420 Class. A special congratulations to Rebecca Hume and her skipper Sydney Cunliffe (Taupo) who were first NZ girls at the regatta and have subsequently been confirmed as New Zealand's representative for the Girls 420 class at the Youth Worlds event. Rebecca joins the NZL Sailing Youth Foundation Team travelling to Poland in July.
