Year 9 student Grace Looi has shown remarkable consistency and skill across several Table Tennis competitions:
North Island Table Tennis Championships:
Bronze medal in U19 Singles
Gold medal in U15 Girls Doubles
Auckland Secondary School Championships:
Silver medal in U15 Doubles
3rd/4th place finish in U19 Singles
Hawke's Bay Table Tennis Tournament:
1st place in Open Women's Singles
1st place in Open Women's Doubles
1st place in Under 15 Girls Singles
2nd place in Under 19 Girls Singles
Cycling
Our cycling teams competed at the North Island Secondary School Road Cycling Champs in Cambridge during the school holidays, coming away with 5 medals!
Our Senior A team secured 3rd place in the Team Time Trial, with a time of 25 minutes and 49 seconds - Zoe Kivell, Ava Liggins, Emily Hammond, Hazel Johnston.
Emily Hammond claimed 3rd place in the U17 Girls Road Race and 2nd place in the U17 Girls A Criterium Race.
Hazel Johnston took 1st place in the U17 Girls Road Race.
Water Polo
Congratulations to Emily Rope and Amelia Lafaialii who have been selected in the U16 National Water Polo Team to compete in the Australian National State Water Polo Championships.
New Zealand Secondary Schools Swimming Championships
The EGGS Swimming Team travelled to Hamilton to compete in the New Zealand Secondary Schools Swimming Championships on Thursday 24th July to Sunday 27th July.
The team secured three bronze medals at the tournament:
Olivia Bates: Bronze in the 400m Freestyle and 200m Individual Medley.
Eliza Williams: Bronze in the 200m Butterfly.

Underwater Hockey
It’s been a strong start to the year for Underwater Hockey with our Junior A Team placing 3rd at the College Sport Auckland Regional Championships and six of our Senior A players securing a Northern U18 Trial.

Dragon Boating
Congratulations to Jenna Rope who recently represented Aotearoa at the 2025 World Dragon Boat Championships in Berlin, Germany. New Zealand competed in many events, securing 11 medals all together (4 gold, 7 silver, and 1 bronze) against the 1,288 other crews competing.
