Our winter codes have kicked off their season this term, with multiple teams competing in weekly competitions and tournaments.

 

College Sport Auckland Climbing Series

The EGGS Climbing program has kicked off this year, with many students competing at tournaments and the weekly College Sport Auckland Climbing Series.

At the recent Auckland Champs, Amy Kirkham (Novice Junior) and Lucy Ernst (Noice Senior), both took 1st place in their divisions.

EGGS Climbers continue to impress at the College Sport Auckland Climbing Series, with Addison Ledger coming away with bronze in the Novice Senior Girls Category.

College Sport Triathlon Championships

Congratulations to all the athletes who competed in the College Sport Triathlon Championships.

U19 Team Ava Gatie, Olivia Bates and Nina Worral for First Place in Girls U19 Team, Violet Young, Kate O’Brien and Emma Rosie for First Place in Girls U16 Team.

Clemence Dehon placed 3rd in the Open Bike race.

Ava Moffat, Amaia Grevers-Smith & Hazel Johnston placed 2nd in the Girls U16.

Pare Teura-Davies, Lucja Gascoigne-Spittle & Poppy Brown placed 3rd in the Girls U16.

Yasmina Bauarschi, Keira Treagus & Briar Kerr placed 2nd in the Novice Girls Team.

College Sport Duathlon

18 students represented Epsom Girls Grammar School at the College Sport Duathlon.

Congrats to medalists U14 Team Lucja and Keira, U16 individual Emily Hammond, U16 teams Millie and Hazel and Ayawa and Cerise, U19 teams Emma and Ava and Zoe and Zoe.

17 students represented our school at the College Sport Swimming Zones, achieving outstanding results, coming away with 4 bronze, 3 silver, 5 gold

Tri Series

Congratulations to Olivia Bates who has been selected to represent New Zealand at the 2025 Tri Series held in Ballarat Victoria.

Olivia has been named as one of the top 20 female age groupers in the country, which is a testament to Olivia’s hard work and passion for the sport.

Table Tennis

Congratulations to Year 9 student Grace Looi for an outstanding performance at the South Island Open Championships for Table Tennis. Grace finished 1st in the C grade singles, 2nd in the B grade singles and combined doubles, and 3rd in the U15 girls doubles.
