Swim Teacher

We seek a qualified fixed term, part time dedicated teacher of swimming who can lead our Learn to Swim programme in collaboration with the PE/Health department, with a particular focus on strengthening the skills of our junior students.

Teacher of Mathematics and Statistics

Pool Attendant

We are looking for Part Time pool attendants to work various hours during the school term.  Hours may vary by negotiation.

Key Tasks:

  • Open & close facilities when required for hirers
  • Ensure users are familiar with safe and correct use of equipment
  • Ensure that spaces are left clean & tidy after use
  • Ensure that facility and health & safety rules are upheld by hirers and staff
  • Lifeguard duties


The successful applicant should be able to/hold:

  • A current first aid certificate (minimum) and/or current life guard award (Training is available for suitable candidate)
  • Able to work unsupervised
  • Able to work with colleagues, coaches, community and group hirers
  • Able to work a variety of shifts including weekends, early mornings and evenings
  • Able to swim test: 200m in 6 minutes, 5 minutes treading water, surface dive to deepest part of the pool.

Epsom House Supervisors (x5)

Epsom House is the Boarding House for Epsom Girls Grammar School and has 130 students aged from 13 – 18 resident seven days a week during school terms.  Our students all have individual rooms and come from a diverse range of cultures.

We are looking to recruit up to 5 Supervisors whose responsibilities will be to work closely with the House Managers and the Assistant Principal with responsibility for Epsom House, and to maintain a safe and supportive environment for students at Epsom House.  Experience with restorative principles, guidance or property management would be advantageous.

All staff are expected to embrace the school values of Courage, Compassion, Curiosity and Community.

The positions available would suit someone who can form positive relationships with students and encourage them with their sports/cultural activities and their academic responsibilities.  The successful applicants must be enthusiastic and patient when working with teenagers.  We are looking for someone who can create attractive after-school activities and programmes to engage our students with.  Confident and warm communication skills are important.  As we are a girl’s boarding school these positions are only suitable for a female applicant.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • The wellbeing and safety of our boarders
  • Assisting with the day to day supervision and duties of the boarding house
  • Liaising with families, whanau and caregivers

You will:

  • Have good organisational and administrative skills
  • Be a team player who demonstrates maturity and professionalism
  • Work collaboratively with the weekend/weekday House Managers

These positions are for term time only (with additional casual work available on occasion).   

All meals are provided while on shift.  Shift hours vary for each position:

  1. Monday and Tuesday - 5.00pm – 10.00pm (Evening Supervisor)
  2. Saturday and Sunday - 7.00am – 3.30pm and 7.30am – 3.30pm (Weekend Activity)
  3. Saturday and Sunday - 2.30pm – 9pm and 3pm – 10pm (Weekend Activity)
  4. Friday, Saturday and Sunday – 1.30pm – 10pm, 3.00pm – 10pm, 6.30am – 3.30pm (Weekend Supervisor)
  5. Saturday and Sunday - 10.00pm – 6.30am (Sleep over)
