Teacher of Visual Arts - Sculpture & Photography

We are looking for a well qualified teacher who is able to teach Visual Art with Senior Art Photography and Sculpture an advantage, up to Level 3 and Scholarship. This one year parental leave position commences on the 30th August 2021. The successful applicant will have a sound understanding of the latest curriculum and assessment developments in Visual Arts, should be able to work well with others in a creative and cooperative manner and be willing to share responsibilities for resource development.

Teacher of Junior Science and Year 11 Biology

We seek an enthusiastic teacher to join a committed and motivated team. This is a fixed term position from the Monday 6 September, 2021 to end of term 4, 2021. The position will be 0.6 until seniors leave, and then a reduction of hours until the end of the school year. We are a BYOD school.

Language Assistant - Te Reo Maori

We are seeking a language assistant proficient in their specialist language - Te Reo, to assist students learning languages with their vocabulary, pronunciation and conventions in their language acquisition. This position is 5 hours per week, usually a Friday, working in class with teachers and students to develop conversational language learning.

Pool Attendant

We are looking for Part Time pool attendants to work various hours during the school term.  Hours may vary by negotiation.

Key Tasks:

  • Open & close facilities when required for hirers
  • Ensure users are familiar with safe and correct use of equipment
  • Ensure that spaces are left clean & tidy after use
  • Ensure that facility and health & safety rules are upheld by hirers and staff
  • Lifeguard duties


The successful applicant should be able to/hold:

  • A current first aid certificate (minimum) and/or current life guard award (Training is available for suitable candidate)
  • Able to work unsupervised
  • Able to work with colleagues, coaches, community and group hirers
  • Able to work a variety of shifts including weekends, early mornings and evenings
  • Able to swim test: 200m in 6 minutes, 5 minutes treading water, surface dive to deepest part of the pool.

Epsom House Weekend Supervisor

Epsom House is the Boarding House for Epsom Girls Grammar School and has 120 students aged from 13 – 18 resident seven days a week during school terms.

We are looking for a Weekend Supervisor Friday 1.30pm-10.00pm / Saturday 3.00pm-10.00pm and Sunday 6.30am–3.30pm to work positively with the Epsom House team to maintain a safe, supportive and caring environment for all the students who live at Epsom House.

As we are a girl’s boarding school this position is only suitable for a female.

Epsom House Weekend House Manager

Epsom House is the Boarding House for Epsom Girls Grammar School and has 120 students aged from 13 – 18 resident seven days a week during school terms.

We are seeking an exceptional Weekend House Manager to join our team at Epsom House. This is a permanent position reporting to the Assistant Principal with responsibility for Epsom House.  This is a senior position and some previous experience in boarding or working with adolescents is desirable. Experience in restorative practices, guidance or property management would be advantageous. 

Hours of work:

Friday 10:00am - 8:30pm, Saturday 6:30am - 3:00pm, Sunday 3:00pm – 9.00pm and Monday 6:30am - 3:00pm. Additional casual work is also available on occasion.

Meals are provided while on duty. 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • The wellbeing and safety of our boarders
  • Assisting with the day to day supervision and duties of the boarding house
  • Assist the Director with operations and other duties
  • Oversee and approve all activities
  • Liaising with families, whanau and caregivers.

 You will:

  • Have a strong interest in the pastoral care of teenage girls
  • Be enthusiastic and patient
  • Have good organisational and administrative skills
  • Be a team player who demonstrates maturity and professionalism
  • Work collaboratively with the weekday House Managers
  • Effectively lead your weekend team of staff.
