Administrative Assistant to the Mathematics Learning Area - Part time, Permanent

Epsom Girls Grammar School seeks administrative support for our busy Mathematics Learning Area. 14 hours per week, throughout the week, by negotiation. Term time only commencing 13 May 2019.

The successful applicant should be:

  • Able to interact with staff at all level
  • Able to support teachers through administrative tasks and creation of resources
  • Able to prioritise and show initiative
  • Able to meet deadlines
  • Able and willing to learn new systems
  • Willing to be part of a learning organisation
  • Understanding of diverse cultures and approaches
  • Confident in the use of computers
  • Willing to learn new skills such as how to scan and manipulate images
  • Able to use software such as email, word, excel, kamar and google drive

Epsom House Afternoon Supervisor with Sleepover role

Epsom House is the Boarding House for Epsom Girls Grammar School and has up to 143 students aged from 13 – 18 resident seven days a week during school terms.

We are looking for someone to be part of a team to look after and care for our students over the weekends at Epsom House. The role is shift work and can include some supervisor shifts during the week. The role would suit a person with the following skills and experience:

  • Experience working in a female boarding house situation
  • Experience in working with teenagers
  • Has had restorative principles training
  • Is competent around privacy issues
  • Works well in a team
  • An applicant with a background in education or child welfare would be most advantageous.

The hours for this position will be Fridays from 1.30pm – 10.00pm; Saturdays from 6.30am – 3.30pm and Sundays from 6.30am – 1.30pm and on Monday and Tuesday evening from 5.00pm – 10.00pm. Term time only.

This position would not be suitable for a male applicant.

The role will require the successful applicant to complete a paid sleepover at the House and be available for any situations when needed during the night. The hours for this position will be from 10.00pm – 6.30am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and will be for term time only.

The Employee is not required to work and will not be paid when the school is closed and there are no students resident at Epsom House.
