Epsom Girls Grammar is keen to support those wanting to train as a teacher working with one of the In-School Training providers for new graduates and those looking for a career change – onsite teacher training at a local high school with your university fees paid for and a stipend paid to you while you train. These models give teacher trainees the advantage of training on-the-job, alongside outstanding teachers and mentors, giving them first-hand experience of all school life. While training, they complete their Graduate or Post Graduate teachers diploma course online through the training provider.

Director of Property Services - Permanent, Full Time
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Director of Property Services to lead the management and development of our significant school properly portfolio. This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring the school grounds and buildings are well maintained, safe and future focused.
You will oversee day to day property operations, maintenance programmes, compliance, contractor management, capital works, and long-term planning for School and Board owned assets. You will also contribute strategically lo the School's long term property vision.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
• Lead and develop the Property Team, fostering a productive and service focused culture.
• Contribute to strategic asset planning and support the school's long-term campus vision.
• Ensure team roles, expectations, and performance processes are clearly managed.
Property Maintenance & Development
• Manage preventative and corrective maintenance programmes for buildings and grounds, ensuring work meets MOE requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections and oversee completion of annual capital works.
• Provide input into the 10 Year Property Plan and 5 Year Agreement (5YA)
Health & Safety
• Ensure safe work practices across all property activity on site.
• Implement training for Property team members.
• Maintain oversight of hazard identification and mitigation.
• Oversee security systems, key control and lock up protocols.
Financial Management
• Assist with development and monitoring of the annual property and CAPEX budgets.
• Manage expenditure within approved budgets and ensure financial prudence.
• Oversee property related invoices and procurement processes.
• Work closely with the Business Manager on all finance related matters.
Communications & Reporting
• Maintain strong communication with staff about maintenance and project activity.
• Present a monthly report to the Board's Finance and Property Committee
• Build strong relationships with school leaders, staff, contractors and the Ministry of Education.
Project & Contractor Management
• Oversee daily contractor activity and ensure compliance with school policies.
• Lead procurement processes for property related services and contracts.
• Liaise with the Business Manager and Principal on all major property initiatives.

Exam Centre Manager - Fixed Term, Part Time
Exam Centre Managers (ECMs) are responsible for the successful delivery of the NCEA and NZ Scholarship exams conducted every year by NZQA. An ECM ensures that all processes related to exam delivery comply with NZQA procedures.
This is a Fixed Term Part time role, initially to set up exam processes between July and October, with increasing hours during November to December when the ECM is expected to be present throughout the NCEA examinations.
ECMs need to be highly organised, have strong IT skills, communicate effectively with their supervisor team and students, and be able to solve arising issues calmly and professionally.

Cambridge Tutors - Part Time, Casual
Epsom Girls Grammar School is looking for University Students who undertook a Cambridge pathway at high school to help at our IGCSE Cambridge Help Session.
The sessions happen at EGGS every Thursday morning during Term Time from 7.30am - 8.30am. A slightly earlier finish can be negotiated if needed. Tutors will be required at all sessions.
The role pays $50 per hour.
There is potential to also support with additional tutorials during the Term 3 holidays.
Our IGCSE students are taking non-coursework / extended English, Maths, Biology, Physics and Chemistry. Having studied all five subjects at IGCSE or A Level would be an advantage, but not a requirment. You must have studied at least three of these subjects at IGCSE or A Level.
