Please note that further documentation may be requested.

Applications will be processed once all documentation is received.

The school retains the right to make all enquiries necessary in its opinion to obtain information that may assist it to reach a decision in any case. Once a place is confirmed, a pre-enrolment pack will be issued and appointment will be made with the Dean to confirm the students course of study.

Enrolment is deemed to have been completed when:

  • all pre-enrolment procedures have been completed, formally acknowledged and accepted by the school
  • the student begins attending the school

and is dependent on:

  • any changes to personal details provided at pre-enrolment having been notified to the school in writing
  • any changes to personal details having been acknowledged in writing by the school as conforming with provisions of this Enrolment Scheme
  • personal details provided at the time of pre-enrolment as being accurate

No enrolment is confirmed until the student attends school and the information given to the school at pre-enrolment is confirmed as accurate and is still current at this time. If your application for enrolment is declined you may appeal the Board's decision be asking the Ministry of Education to direct the Board to enrol the student. Application forms are available from the Ministry's local office.

Out-of-Zone Information

Students who live outside the home zone are entitled to apply for out-of-zone places if a ballot is offered. Please note, the ballot is for places as a day girl. Students intending to apply as a boarder at Epsom House will need to contact Mrs Chris Barnes.

The process we follow to select out-of-zone students is prescribed by legislation and is set out in our enrolment scheme.

Applicants will be processed in the following order of priority:

  • First priority will be given to applicants who are siblings of current students.
  • Second priority will be given to applicants who are siblings of former students.
  • Third priority will be given to applicants who are daughters of former students.
  • Fourth priority will be given to applicants who are either daughters of Board employees or daughters of a member of the Board of the school.
  • Fifth priority will be given to all other applicants.

Applicants will be required to provide evidence to support their inclusion in a priority group.

If there are more applicants than there are places available, selection within the priority group will be by a ballot to randomly select students for any available places. Unsuccessful applicants will be ranked in their numerical order and placed on a waiting list.

The school receives a large number of applications from out of zone applicants and unfortunately many students are unsuccessful in the ballot. It is important that you also apply to your local school for enrolment.
