SPORT Oceania Champs Fiji



ASS Relay Championships Ellie Eastwood (swimming) Kohu Kawiti (weightlifting) and
Manine Lynch (weightlifting) have all been selected to represent
NZ at the Oceania Champs next month in Fiji. Congratulations
and good luck girls!


AFL High Performance Awards
At the recent AFL NZ High Performance Awards
Killarney Morey was named Female Player of the Year
Killarney was selected as Female player of the tournament against
the Woomeras in December 2015. Killarney s height and speed
makes her a natural ft for AFL and there could be opportunities
for her to participate at higher levels in the new AFL Womens
competition in 2017.





The Auckland Secondary Schools Relay Championships were held
at Ambury Park on Thursday 14th April. The girls were competing
in teams of three and each runner had to run around their course
before returning to tag the next runner in their group. They would
set of around a diferent course. The course itself was challenging,
a 20-30 minute run through scenic volcanic areas and farmland.
The day was beautifully fne and warm and the girls enjoyed
cheering each person as they set of on their run.


A senior teams consisting of Jenni Long, Lizzy White, Sofa Seatre
placed 5th and an Intermediate team consisting of Lucy Parsons,
Zoe Calleson, Bianca Mercer placed 4th only one minute behind
3rd place after 60mins of total running time.

In the top school competition, Epsom Girls Grammar placed 3rd Killarney Morey - AFL Female Player of the Year
for girls.
Fencing

U15/17 Nationals took place 23rd - 25th April and here are our
EGGS competitors results:
U15 Womens Foil - 5th Jess Kaiser
U15 Mixed Epee - 3= Yerin An
U15 Mixed Sabre - 5th Heesu Yang, 6th Yerin An,
8th Haruka Mori
U17 Womens Epee - 6th Annika Siegers, 8th Yerin An
U17 Mixed Sabre - 8th Anastasiya Kiddle
U17 Womens Foil - 5th Sara-Louise Williams


Football
The Football season at Epsom has kicked of with a roar. The
First XI comfortably won 4-1 with some great goals from Brooke
Hawker (2) Annabelle Pakieto (1) and Emma Hall (1).

The Junior A also had a great match vs St Kentigern College
winning 4-3.
