Dear Parents, Caregivers and Students Sun 22 West Side Story

The Prefects Campaign Week in the last week of Term 1 was a real success. Congratulations Thurs 19 May Relational Parenting
to the Prefect team and especially to Michelle, Jade, Cindy and Lily from the Head Prefect and Workshop
Deputies team who spearheaded this event packed week. On the Friday students were able Friday 20 May Grade Summary available on

as everything that happened there seemed to be fun and good!
Coming up in Week 4....
Term 2 sees the start of winter sports in earnest. Just a reminder to make sure that sport
fees are paid as we are unable to put non-paying team members into play. The EGGS Sport Mon 23 May Learning Egg Week
facebook page is a good way to stay current on what is happening in a wide range of sports.

This term also sees the annual EGGS/AGS Production this year West Side Story here at the
Raye Freedman Arts Centre. From the moments I have seen at rehearsals and the vignette at Poppy Day
assembly this will be a show that no one will want to miss.

In the frst week of term about 300 people attended the NCEA Information Evening and the
Netsafe Evening was held on Tuesday 10 May. We take cybersafety very seriously and fnd
that Netsafe ofers practical information and advice.
By the end of Week 3 a Checkpoint Grade Summary for all students will be posted on the
KAMAR web portal. This summary provides a snapshot of assessment achievement to date.
Looking ahead - full mid-year Reports will be available for juniors by 17 June and for seniors
by 21 June and students and parents will be able to meet with subject teachers:
Junior students - 28 June
