Junior Competitions Term 4





























The Junior Volleyball Gold Team placed 5th in Division 1 and Blue Team placed 4th in Division 2.
Junior A Water Polo team are currently placed 2nd, with two games to play in the round robin.
Junior Touch had two teams entered in the weekly competition this year.
Gold Team placed 5th in Division A and the Blue Team placed 4th in Division B.
Junior Softball Team are currently placed 4th with one more round to play.
Cricket Blitz was a fun weekly competition that EGGS participated in and placed 6th.
Junior Waka Ama regatta was held in Auckland on the 5th November. They placed 4th with Rosmini in the mixed W12, 250mtr
fnal and two crews made it through to the semi-fnals.
18th November, 10 girls participated in the Auckland Junior Volleyball Championship and made it through to the semi-fnals.


Up and Coming Events


1st XI Cricket are heading down to Christchurch for the NZSS Cricket Nationals from the 1st-4th December.
4 Girls are participating at the NZSS Athletics and Road Race in Auckland from the 2nd-4th December.
We have 23 girls participating in the Auckland Cycling Track Series at the Manukau Velodrome in Term 4.



Young Sports Person of the Year Awards

On Saturday Amanda Slade and Tric Milner attended the College Sports Young
Sports Person of the Year Awards.

Past winners have been Valerie Adams, Jonah Lomu, Lydia Ko, Eliza McCartney and
ex students, Nicola Kaiwai, Sarah Macky, Danica Aitken, Melissa Ingram, Phillis Meti,
Annalie Longo & Anna Green.


This year Pauline Farra received the Service to Secondary School Sports for her
dedication and service to Curling at Epsom Girls Grammar School as well as at
volunteering at Regional and National tournaments for the past 13 years.

Hannah Metzger received the International Achievement Award for Gym Sports
Trampolining.
