On Tuesday, as part of the beginning of the countdown we also launched a School Facebook
page. It is not too late for students to Like the page and to wish the School a very happy 99th
birthday to have two entries in the draw for a double movie pass.

The centenary promises to be a wonderful occasion to honour and celebrate the past, as well
as to look forward to an exciting second century for the School. The Ministry of Education
is promoting sustainable practice in new school buildings as part of creating innovative
learning environments and we are looking forward to helping make this a reality in future
projects. We are also working with NZQA on pilots and trials for digital assessment which is
going to be a major development nationwide.
The Student Council Mufti Day this term in support of Star Jam, raised a record total of
$2,400.00. Thank you to the Student Council and to everyone who supported the work of
Star Jam.
