The Foundation was established by the Epsom Girls Grammar School Board of Trustees in 1999 to manage the fundraising activities for the School and for the advancement or promotion of the School, its teachers, pupils or Alumni.
The Foundation is a Charitable Trust that was formed mainly from an inspired group of parents - The Friends of Epsom Girls Grammar School. This group had the vision many years ago to start fundraising for a Creative Arts Centre. This goal was finally achieved and it was a proud moment when the Raye Freedman Arts Centre, which includes the Lady Fisher Auditorium, was opened in April 2005 by our distinguished Old Girl and NZ Prime Minister at the time, the Rt Hon Helen Clark.

The Foundation thanks most sincerely all those individuals and organisations who donated so generously to make this vision a reality.
And now the Foundation has a new vision - to fundraise for a new Sports Centre. Many former students will remember the woefully inadequate facilities they had to endure. Today, however, the need for a Sports Centre to accommodate the school roll of over 2000 students is urgent.
The completed Sports Centre will be a facility that will enable the PE and Sports Departments to operate on a level worthy of inspiring current and future generations to achieve sporting excellence.

Currently the Foundation raises funds from alumni, supporters, businesses and charitable trusts for capital items required by the school to assist school community groups, student sports teams with travel and accommodation expenses.
Brenda Perry and Carolyn Guthrie, both former students of the school, operate the Development Office, located within the school. The Development Office?s wider brief is to manage the Foundation, the Sports Centre project, coordinate events, liaise with the OGA and together with Diane Miller, to provide PR support for the school. Brenda and Carolyn look forward to meeting you, hearing your ideas and providing any information you require.
