The school staff are well aware of the special requirements of International Students. The Student Support Services team has extensive experience in guiding students in areas related to study, curriculum planning, academic progress, language, social and health support and vocational direction.

Students study and relax in a safe and caring environment and are encouraged to develop personal values which are consistent with their family expectations and their ethnic or religious backgrounds.

The school is in contact with the authorities of the Universities, Polytechnics, Welfare and Immigration Departments to ensure a trouble-free period of studfy for the students which will result in each student making maximum personal academic progress.

Student Support Services provide a coordinated system of support for students which include advice, guidance and counselling in areas of need including school work, personal development and careers. The aim of these services is to help every student make the most of her learning opportunities.

The ESOL teachers assist International Students in improving their English and in adapting to the New Zealand school system. The school grades students according to their ability in English and offers differentiated courses so that assistance is targetted.

The Guidance Counsellors are available to assist students with more complex personal problems.

The Careers Advisor is available to help students with tertiary education placements.
