Stage 1a completed

Epsom Girls Grammar School has begun building its new Sports Centre. The current outdated, undersized and inadequate facilities are not large enough to house even one full sized indoor netball or basketball court.

With more than half of the 2150 girls participating in an organised sport along with the many PE classes at any one time, the current facilities have not matched the growing school population and are just insufficient.

Stage 1

$3.5m was put in place from a combination of School Reserves and Government Funding enabling the current building of Stage 1a and 1b that began in March 2010 and has a completion date for end of April 2011.

It will include a netball court size space, a Fitness Centre, a Dance Studio, a Locker Room, a small kitchen, storage space, a classroom and a PE Staff Office.

Fit Out of Stage 1

A further $200,000 was raised to enable a high quality outfit of Stage 1 with sports equipment, Fitness Centre equipment, shelving and storage, electronic lockers, audio visual equipment and kitchen equipment. The funds were raised with support from donations from Parents and Old Girls, EGGS Sports Council, EGGS Sports Department, sale of EGGS Art Calendars, EGGS Auction, North and South Trust and Four Winds Foundation,  Thanks everyone!
