Podium Girls!

Our Under 16s double sculling duo, Lexi Kerr and Sarah Smith, won gold in their event at the Maadi National Secondary Schools Rowing Regatta held at Lake Ruataniwha, Twizel 30th and 31st March 2012. Having won the under 15 double scull in 2011 they were ecstatic to take the under 16 title as well. Lucy Jonas joined Sarah Smith on the podium later to gain a hard fought silver medal in the under 18 lightweight double sculls. On the podium, they thanked their coaches and fellow squad members for motivating them to reach their limits. 120 schools and 1800 students competed in 48 events; five Epsom crews progressed to finals. It is an amazing feat for the girls and Epsom Girls Grammar.
