Distance Squad
The Distance Squad meets every Tuesday and Friday outside the Aquatic Centre in Silver Road at 7.20am and run as a group for approximately 30 mins. While this is "training" for the cross country and road race all students and any interested parents are welcome to join in. It's fun to run as a group - all abilities catered for!
School Cross Country
The School Cross Country Junior, Intermediate and Senior Championships will be held at Ellerslie Racecourse in May, usually a 9.00am start. The date will be confirmed later in Term 1. Students make their own way to the venue and return to school once racing is complete. All those who wish to enter are welcome - Junior and Intermediate girls run 3kms and Seniors run 4kms.
Auckland Cup Secondary School Cross Country
The inaugural Auckland Racing Club Secondary School Cross Country race was held on Auckland Cup Day, 9th March.
A team of our girls entered this event with Daria Gillespie the 3rd Senior girl to cross the line and Charlotte Riley the 3rd Junior. Overall, our Senior girls were the 1st placed team and the proud recipients of the new Auckland Cup trophy.
