Teacher Aide

We require a teacher aide (hours negotiable between 20 and 27 per week) during the school terms to assist classroom teachers with students primarily in Years 9 to 11 who have special learning needs. The position is fixed term until December, 2013.

The successful applicant should have sound literacy and numeracy skills and should be experienced in working with young people. Expertise in Special Needs Education would be advantageous.

Counsellor

Counsellor - Fulltime, permanent position, to begin as soon as possible.

We seek a qualified counsellor, experienced in working with young people to join our dedicated student support team.

We are looking for applicants who are a member of NZAC (or equivalent), preferably a registered teacher who has strengths in working with restorative approaches.
The ideal person would be energetic and skilled in working with individuals and families and be willing and able to contribute to programmes offered by the department.
